Clenching does not seem to interfere with my spanking technique. I spank with a small wooden spoon - the type you would use for cooking. My boy and my older daughter clench a lot. Sometimes, during pauses for breath catching and some lecturing, I squeeze those clenched cheeks. They might unclench, but when the heat is back on, those muscles are fully tensed for most of the time. My other daughter does not seem to clench at all.
