Yup, your boys were being boys their ages and being brats and may be even testing you, well done, Amanda you handled this beautifully.

There has never been a spike in spankings when the kids have gone back to school because they are not home all day, I have always had a spike in spankings during the summer when they are out of school and the same happens during those weeks off during school as well.

It's the same way here, bedtime here means in bed at their assigned bedtimes. Bedtimes with both of my boys have many times been a battle here from when they were little, which I don’t understand, they have never won that battle and far more times than not they end up going to bed with a burning, on fire, red bottom, crying themselves to sleep. My bedtimes are written in stone.

With my teen daughter who 20, she had always been pretty good at being in bed on time, her bedtime problems came in the form of a missed curfews and thus not home and in bed on time, which she ended up being spanked for, but not for some time now.
