Betty,

My spanking hand has never hurt like that but we are not all the same, that being said I agree with Shannon, that maybe you should have your hand looked at.

My right hand does get a nice sting to it but then I go to the brush and let it do the work and it gives my hand a rest, which when I am spanking multiples is very nice.

What I do is I pause slightly when I am transitioning from my hand to my brush giving my hand a shake and flex it open and closing it from the long, hard hand spanking I just administered. Then pick up my hairbrush and continue.
