Last night, my eleven year old daughter had her best friend spend the night with us. I had gone to the bathroom and heard a very familiar sound coming from my daughter's bedroom. It was the sound of a bare bottom being slapped and obvious fake crying. The door wasn't completely closed so I admit I peeked in. Sure enough my daughter had her friend over her knee, with her nightshirt up and panties down smacking her on the bare bottom. I almost walked in at the time but waited to see what would happen. She let her off her lap and hugged her. I knocked on the door and walked in while the girl quickly pulled up her panties and I asked what they were doing. My daughter said, "We're just playing house Mommy. She's pretending to be my little girl and she's been bad, so I was pretending to spank her like you do me. I think the girls thought they might get in trouble and I asked my daughter's friend if she was ok. She said, "Yes Miss Sonya, I was just pretending to cry. Then she pulled her panties part of the way down and said, "See it didn't hurt." I talked to them for a few minutes telling them it's ok to pretend but not to really hurt each other. I believe they understood what I was saying. I was getting ready to leave her room and she walked up to me and put her arms around me and said, "Mama, when I grow up and have kids, if they need a spanking, I'm gonna do it just like you and Daddy do it. It hurts but after it's over you always give us a big hug and make us feel better." Then she said, "The spankings do hurt, but I know you only do it because you love me and want me to be good. So I want to be like you when I grow up and have kids." Don't think I didn't pick that child of mine up and give her one of the biggest hugs she ever had.
So after last night, I don't think I'll be the last generation of spankers in my family.
