For me, corner time is usually a separate punishment. I have put my kids in a corner for doing things that didn't warrant a spanking. They stand there until I told them they could come out. Then there is a discussion, the threat of a spanking next time and then a hug after. There are times I'm going to spank one of them and I put them in a corner to think about what they've done. They stand there in whatever clothing they are wearing. Then are called over to go over my knee. I have on a couple of occasions made them go back to the corner after a spanking. They are allowed to pull their pants back up after the spanking is over. I make them stand there for a few minutes to think about what they had done. I just make them face the corner. No hands on head or at their sides and no bare butt or naked corner times either. I knew a couple of kids that had to do that when they got spanked and frankly, I think it's too humiliating But that's only my opinion. After a few minutes in the corner, I let them out, give them a hug and send them on their way.
