When I have 'the itch' and I do sometime have them, it is usually because I get irritated by my children's behaviour, or if they 'forget' to do something what was agreed previously etc.
However, I am quite careful not to spank because of 'the itch' :) Even, when I get naturally angry or mad at them, I do wait, I'll let them now that spanking is on its way, but if that happens on evenings, they will have to wait to the next day, or if it is on morning, usually late afternoons will see the discipline happening ;)
