An interesting experience, Nancy. After a good spanking from Mom, I do think your son actually enjoyed having his bottom gently stroked, and that would explain his shiver. It is a soothing and affectionate gesture from your mother, and appreciated through the pain of a very sore bottom. Accidental or not, it broke the tension between the pair of you maybe?

When spanking one of my boys when he was about 13 maybe, my wife handed the phone over to me saying it was a call from a work client. The teen lay bare bottomed over my left knee smarting from my hand spanking and slippering, as I took the call. I was hoping it would be a short chat, but I ended up having a 10 minutes or so conversation with my concerned client. I apologised to my son after and gave him a couple of dozen firm wallops to his pink bottom for good measure before letting him up off my knee. Thankfully, it was not a video call! It was quite surreal really and my wife has gently teased him about it from time to time since.
