Wow. Does that bring back memories! When I was around your son’ age, I had the same thing happen to me in the midst of a spanking from mom. She got a call from a teacher and kept me sprawled over her lap, sniffing from the sting, for 10-15 minutes. At one point I attempted to roll off her lap. She responded by grabbing my left arm with her free hand and pulled my back into position, following it up with three sharps swats. To my abject embarrassment, she explained to the person on the phone the reason for the interruption, saying that “the call had caught her in the middle of spanking Jason and he just tried to take himself off my lap.” I was mortified.
When the call was over, my mom immediately picked up her hairbrush and went to town on my already sore bare bottom, lecturing me the whole time about embarrassing her by my behavior during the call. By the time she stopped, I was a blubbering mess. She took me off her lap and I went into full dance mode, still crying and desperately rubbing my sore bottom.
