Same as you I give minimum 2 or 3 warning swats to their clothed bottom when it comes to that as they know they're about to get spanked if they don't stop. Like I gave my son Joshua warning swats a couple days ago that still ended up in a sound spanking.

I think when it comes to warning swats it's still us moms that give our children a chance to show their best behavior and avoid a real spanking, but sometimes I feel like a real spanking is needed to reset everything.

As to your question on older teens I only gave my oldest daughter Julia warning swats a couple of times but not much since she tries to be the responsible one here lol.
