Just curious what your thoughts or practices are regarding warning spanks or swats to your kids/teens? Given certain behavior or actions, that perhaps do not call for a full-fledged spanking or if you feel someone is heading toward a spanking, will you give swats to the child/teens bottom?

If you do give warning swats or spanks, how many do you give and how hard are they? Are they hard enough to provide a decent sting? Have you ever bared a bottom to give warning spanks? If you have older teens, have you given them warning spanks or swats?

More often than not I just give real spankings, however I have given warning spanks at times. When I do, they are what I would call very firm seats to the bottom. Usually two swats would be the minimum, but I have given a few more. Typically if I give warning spanks it is to a fully clothed or partially clothed bottom, however there have been times that I have pulled down the back of pajamas to very firmly swat a bare bottom. In general, I would say that warning spanks that I have given were firm enough to produce some pinkness to the bottom, especially if to a bare bottom.

What are your thoughts and practices regarding warning swats and spanks?
