Swats have always been a tool that I still use, even still with Donny and Scott. I have since they were old enough given multiple Hard fast swats over a clothed bottom as they stand, I will give one warning with my swats also when they were younger and they would be lingering in bed and would not get up on a school morning, I would give 2-3 hard swats/spanks on their pj covered bottom telling them “last warning, next I will spank your bare bottom.” After my warning swats, If they don’t stop...or if they don’t do...then I spank.

I have also 'handed out' my share of a single swat, a firm spank across the bottom to grab their attention and to let them know I mean business and or what they said, doing is not acceptable.
