Hello Helen,

Welcome to the forum. I am wondering the same as Mary, how old are your boys? My son Matthew is 14. Every time I spank him its a real tear and snot fest.

Its the same here I can barely hear the final swats of my brush with how loud Matt is, but that is the way it has to be. And yes a thorough spanking with brush or paddle will leave marks.
