It was a traditional over the knee hand spanking to the point of tears. Howling might be a better descriptor for my son on that particular occasion. He was very, very sorry by the end.

The punishment itself didn’t last longer than a minute but was sufficient to cause my son’s emotions to erupt like a geyser. He’s still a little boy but with just her hand I don’t think it could have been so painful that he cried the way I’m told he did, so I think the tears were mainly from being hurt on the inside if you get my drift.

It just speaks to the massive power that embarrassment can have in measuring the effectiveness of a spanking.
