That is true as others have said, they need that good hard cry.

Our 10 year old son will start crying as soon as I take my seat and pull him to me to start the baring, the youngest boy (8) starts to cry as soon as he realizes I am going to spank him, our daughter can at times hold it in until I start to spank, other times she is more on the emotional side, being 13 I understand that.

Hearing them cry is always very satisfying for me, but for them, even though they are on the opposite end of being satisfied, but I do know all that crying is very cathartic for them, a good release of emotions and they are set straight, once again my wonderful boys and daughter.

I agree with what Cordelia said here, "the sweetness comes from all the bad stuff being cried OUT afterwards."
