I do spank quite hard when I hand spank, especially with the older children. But it does help that I am tall (5' 10") and relatively strong for a woman. And both Andy, as well as my son, in their late teens, are/were not large boys. Derek is close to average height, but he is still shorter than I am. So it does make it easier in giving them a good hand spanking. That said, my hand is still certainly stinging a great deal and I need to shake and flex it for a bit before I move onto the hairbrush. But that is a small price to pay to administer the good and proper hand spanking that is needed.

You won't get any disagreement from me that the hand spanking is a very important part of the spanking from Mom(my). It is much more personable, there is nothing more maternal and loving than a hand smacking a bare bottom for correction. And I agree wholeheartedly in it being very cathartic. Not only for the child, but for Mom, as well.

Oh yes, Jason went through that 'spanking time machine' much the same as Derek and Andy always have, even when I gave him his last spanking. I will admit, there was a part of me that was concerned if the spanking would affect him like I wanted it to, as it had been almost a year since his last one. But he was soon bawling and wailing, while kicking and flailing over my knee, just like he did when I spanked him as a little boy.

Are you asking what are the most common reasons I need to spank Andy and Derek now? Or just most common in general for all the children I spank, including my grandchildren? If it's the second one, that can vary so much as it really can depend on the child and their age. There are so many different things they can do to earn a spanking when they are younger.

But with Andy and Derek, I would say right now if you aren't including backtalk or attitude, it's probably just straight arguing with me about rules they don't like. Feeling I am too strict and continuing to argue themselves into a spanking.

Or a big one for Derek is keeping his mouth in check while playing video games. As you may have just seen my post about needing to spank and mouth soap him and both friends for swearing while playing video games this past Saturday. Andy has had his moments for that, as well. Although he isn't as bad as Derek in regards to that.
