Well, I live in the South. Spankings, while not as common as they used to be, still happen in these parts. There are a lot of times, I've heard a Momma saying, "Do you want me to take you to the bathroom?" or "Just wait till I get you home." So it happens. Yes I think some of the kids today could benefit from a trip over their Momma or Daddy's knee. But at the same time, it's not just on the kids. Too many parents today spend way too much time with their nose buried in their cell phones and not enough time paying attention to their kids. So I don't blame the kids for being bratty, I blame the parents for not paying attention to them. Also, too many parents listen to so called "experts" and don't even try to teach or correct their child's behavior. When I see a child having a meltdown in public and see their parent standing there just letting it happen, it makes me think it's the parent that needs the spanking, not the kid.

Just my two cents for what it's worth.
