Raising children must be a very strict matter. Children need a lot of love, but also guidance and direction from their parents. Children need to learn about responsibility, respect and consequences of misbehavior, and this absolutely includes punishments.
In my opinion, a proper spanking is the best way to do this.
I prefer it when they are completely naked. Even if I use a brush or a spoon, I still think a good old-fashioned spanking with the hand is the best.
I think the unmistakable clapping of skin on skin is very stimulating. We spank because we want to do something good for the child. I'm sure that grounding doesn't have this effect.
I spank the entire bottom thoroughly and accurately from top to bottom, from right to left. I spank in a steady rhythm and see the color of the bottom change from white to bright red and can decide very well when I think it's enough. I never stop when the bottom is only slightly pink. That's not enough and it doesn't help. The bottom has to be a bright, shiny red. A wonderful sight.
The most important thing for me is always the spanking with my hand. If I then use my brush paddle or a spoon, that's an extra that makes the punishment a little more lasting.
Nothing works better than a good sound spanking on the bare bottom
