I'm sorry folks but I accidentally skipped the first question on the survey.

1- It’s not a good old fashioned spanking (GOFS) unless…

The child who received the spanking is honestly repentant for what he or she did and learned from that mistake or action. Each of my children react differently. All three will have a red bottom and be crying but their reactions are still different. My thirteen year old son, is more easily embarrassed than his brother and sister. He doesn't like to be seen crying and often goes to his room until he settles down. My daughter is eleven and is pretty hard headed and a bit of a drama queen, just like her Momma. She will start crying long before the spanking, and will try to beg and plead her way out of it. But once the spanking starts, she is very vocal and cries quite loudly. It usually takes a while for her to calm back down after her spankings and even at that she is still pouty for a while after. My nine year old son, is normally my little clown. Always playful and a bit of a prankster. Even when he's in trouble. He sometimes even giggles a little before the spanking, but once the spanking starts, he is quite loud with his crying like his sister. After the spanking, he is the cuddle bug. After a few minutes of cuddles he apologizes and seems to go back to being his usual happy go lucky self. Even though the usual spanking is only a dozen or so smacks on their bare little butts, it seems to be pretty effective because their behavior improves significantly after and spankings don't happen all that often.
