For those who give and have received birthday spankings, how much have they resembled real spankings you gave or received, leaving aside how much harder real spankings are? So for example, if you give punishment spankings over the lap with a hairbrush on the bare, do you do that with play birthday spankings?

Also, I saw a scene in an old sitcom where a husband was giving his wife a play spanking when he discovered some real misbehavior told him by a witness, and it turned into a real spanking. Did that ever happen to you?
