So it turns out Julie didn't actually strip him before the soaping. As I explained to Cherie:
"So the baring of the bottom was the one part of the whole ritual that I didn't actually witness as Julie's son was already bare from the waist down before I arrived. I asked Julie about this and she told me that she didn't actually bare him. Rather he pulled down his pants and underpants himself as soon as his spanking was announced which is what he normally does when he's about to get spanked. Talk about co-operative! He did not even need to be told by his mom to do it, he just did it on his own! I don't know if Julie's other kids do the same thing but I'm impressed regardless!"

Those mouth soapings you describe sound like quite the ordeal. Almost as bad as the actual spanking. I haven't decided whether or not I will also add mouth soapings to spankings when the offense involves lying, swearing, or backtalking, but perhaps I should? My kids do backtalk quite a bit after all. What do you think? Perhaps thats a question for a later time after I've got the hang of the main event which is the bare bottom spanking itself.

I know this honeymoon period won't last forever though. It's only a matter of time before they slip up and end up over my knee for some good spankings. I'm sure there won't be any shortage of opportunities to remind them of the family hierarchy.

About the leg lock advice from Maureen, yes that sounds like a good idea. Don't wanna accidentally hit something other than the bottom because they are squirming out of control. Julie did a similar leg lock method and I will look to emulate that. I'm sure Julie will correct any technique mistakes I make while she's coaching me through the first spanking.
