Hi Kelly,

This is a good subject, a very nice post.

When I first knew my kids were old enough for real punishment I spanked, it was how we were punished by bour mother and it was the natural thing for me.

My daughter Julie 13 and subsequently my 2 boys Brian 10 and James 8, starting around 3 I did not hesitate to bare their bottom and place them over my lap and spank with my hand, (I subsequently added a brush to my hand spanking after their 7th birthday) as that was the way my brother and I were raised, spanked by our mother and I saw no reason to change, grounding them or taking things from them never crossed my mind when they needed to be punished I spank.

To be honest I also do enjoy having them over my lap, bare bottom on display and spanking.
