Please be careful and if you haven't tell Gabriel as well with those headphone games kids can get online with and talk with others as they play. Some years ago my boys were asking about it and getting into that I did a search and there were a few reports of men getting on their and saying inappropriate things and men posing as boys asking for their address so they could be 'friends'. Needless to say I never let my boys play like that.

As for why you spanked, I have done the same, there have been times here as well when their bad tone and raised voice what they said meant an instant spanking was needed.

As for the others hearing you. There were times with Donny and Scott when they were on the phone when they were not supposed to be, it was either bedtim or as with Scott when he was 15 and on the phone with his girlfriend when i already swatted his bottom to get moving and get his room cleaned now, Not 5 minutes later I went up and looked in the room and there he was laying on the bed talking with Madison on his phone. I didn't say a word, I just went and gathered the brush and quickly headed to his room. Once there I told him I am going to spank your bare bottom, this was said before he thought to end his call, so Madison heard me and knew Scott as about to be spanked.

Donny around the same age did the same with Ashley only he forgot to kang up and she heard the entire spanking over the phone.
