Well, that's okay. I know that Venieth gets upset when people think they can win her flight. Xanth gave the dragon equivalent of a hearty chuckle.
Lily does what she wants, brownling, Venieth replied, rather haughtily. It is not yours' place to decide. If he has already figured it out, then good for him!
Xanth gave an amused chuckle, then stopped as Venieth glared at him.
Ouch, Venieth. Do you need to be so bossy?
Yes, Xanth, I do. Keeps you off the streets, doesn't it? And J'xom out of weyrs, as well.

"If you're sure," J'xom said slowly, studying M'att's face. Lily walked to her brother, and planted a kiss on his cheek.

Xiualith? Is your's okay? What's wrong? Xanth asked, somewhat concerned.

((Oh! Yes, misery developes. But then, someone interesting comes along . . . and he's got a weyrmate! (Why I think about D'ris? DS, Serenity has full permission to flatten me with a Lebanese salami. Whoo, just thinking of the smell is enough to clog my nose.)
