Like a caged animal, his first instinct was to flee as soon as he was driven into a corner, and he did so � getting to his feet and leaving the room in a blind panic. It seemed that Hythe and Nerilki had found his breaking point � though he had stayed in that room longer than he normally would have. The moment he was outside, the boy paused for breath, leaning against the wall for some stability. I deserved it, I deserved it, I deserved it� He repeated that to himself like a mantra. It was, in a twisted way, the only thing that kept him going � there had been a reason for the pain he had endured. It wasn�t just gratuitous (it was, of course, but how was Tath to know?), he had deserved it.

�You worthless little git!�
Tathan groaned as another kick landed in his ribs, winding him. The beating continued unabated, and he did what he always did � he just lay there and let the man kick and hit him. It made Tron less irritable, and had one advantage: By the time the older hunter got around to actually violating him, he was barely conscious. But he could still hear what Tron was saying to him�
�Y� can�t do anything right, can you?� Tath had no idea what he had done wrong this time, but it must be something pretty bad. No wait, now he remembered. Rayna had died in childbirth, and it was his fault somehow. He couldn�t remember how, though�but that didn�t matter right now. All Tath knew was that he was in the wrong. Tron told him so. The man�s words were punctuated by kicks to his ribs.
�Stupid, stupid, stupid boy. It�s all your, fault, d�you hear me? All your fault.�
He gave up and slipped into oblivion�

So many things were Tathan�s fault. Why would he get hurt then, if they weren�t? It had to be him � and if it was him that was responsible for all these bad things, then he deserved to be punished. It was a train of thought that had been drummed into his head since he was old enough to think. And if those two greenriders were dead set on knowing the bad things he had done, then he would just have to not tell them.

Yep, he was Alexander the Great�s Chief eunuch. I think we�d been talking about Pirates of the Caribbean (*Pauses to drool over Johnny Depp*), and the whole �You�re not a eunuch, are you?� Thing.
Aww, I like a bit of romance involved. As long as the guy is gorgeous. (*Pauses to do a bit more drooling over randomly handsome guys*)))
