C'lin chuckled, smiling warmly at the small girl. "And why would I deny such a thing? He seems quite fond of you, and don't worry about being a bother. I love kids." C'lin reached up and patted the shimmering foreleg of his brown lifemate.

Ith? Oh, hello. he gave a grumble of draconic laughter. Then she must come often. It is harder for C'lin to reach for itches on my hide than it used to be. He says I grew bigger, and that's the problem. His eyes sparkled calmly. So she does belong to yours? Good. She is welcome any time, so long as yours knows she's here.

C'lin, hearing his dragon speak, frowned. Does Hythe know she's here?

I'm not sure, the dragon admitted.

Then have Ith tell her. The last thing I want is Hythe claiming I stol her foster daughter.

Veverith mentally reached to Ith again. Mine asks if you'll tell yours that Havinka is here. Will you?

C'lin, smiling again, turned back to Havinka. Realizing neither had properly introduced themselves, he offered her his hand.

"I just realized we've never met." His smile was warm, as if he himself felt a paternal attachment to her already. Which, in actuality, he did with most children. "I'm C'lin, and I assume you know Vev here. What's your name?"
