Subject: We are not alone

Totally unremarkable encounter:

Recently when taking the train with my barefoot daughter on a nice spring day I saw a dad with a girl who was also barefoot (the girl - her dad wore sandals). That girl was a few years older than mine, anyway both of them had a wonderful time together ... and when getting off the train at the end station the other girl didn't put on any shoes either.

I'm just glad for every child lucky enough to have parents who don't insist they put on shoes whenever getting out of the house, car, train or whatever. As I observed the girls playing together I noticed both of them have strong tough little feet well-used to all the outdoor surfaces and graced by black prints under their soles as it should be ... that looks so cute on little girls (and I really love my daughter for her enthusiasm of running barefoot everywhere).
