Hello, it's wonderful your girls enjoy the snow so much! Every child should have the opportunity for that.
I'm so glad we have a garden. Our daughter is almost four years old and now in an age when she really gets to enjoy going out in every weather. This winter we get plenty of snow and she goes out several times a day, she can stay outside until it gets too cold for her, which is anywhere from ten minutes up to half an hour. We got her ski pants and a puffy jacket with a warm scarf, so she has no problem playing with bare hands and feet as she always does. Our garden is full of her little footprint (and our cat's, she loves playing with our cat in the snow).
Yesterday after an additional snowfall we had two neighbour children coming over, aged five and six. The three built a snowman in the garden and had so much fun making snow angels and rolling in the snow. The other two, a girl and a boy, wore their moonboots but at some point got inspired by our daughter and took them off so for a few minutes we had three barefoot children playing excitedly in the snowy garden before we took them all inside for a good warm drink. All three on the couch with cheerful, excited faces, pink cheeks and clean warm naked feet, what a joy.
Last summer and fall the three already played together in our garden and around the houses, climbing a tree barefoot. I'm so happy that our girl finds friends, that's so important!
