Rita is just a boundless bundle of energy and rather than telling her to sit still it's best for parents to support this need of movement!
When we were in the park recently I felt it myself through my bare feet how energizing the grass, moss and other plants can be as we ran around there.

These first years are very important since it's laying the foundation for the own path that our children will go. Part of our approach is also to not constantly yell at our child, we don't admonish her and rarely tell her what to do, we rather try to find a common wavelength. And it's equally important to protect your child but not be overly afraid of what might happen. Soon, maybe next year already she will climb up the trees around our house with her little bare hands and feet, I might give her a hand at first but I'm certainly not going to stop her! Finding new abilities and new independence is what growing up is all about.

Ok, so maybe there's one thing others of Rita's age might learn more quickly than her: Tying their shoelaces ... hehe. She will be able to do so many other things!
