That's wonderful for them. I remember how you weren't sure about the school's regulations and dress code earlier. So it's great if it's no big deal.

All three kids definitely prefer it barefoot whenever they can! We had no big snowfall this year yet, sometimes it's icy cold in the morning and then my sons occasionally put on Skinners, my daughter just wool socks on the way to school, taking them off at the first occasion and they don't need them for the way home later in the day.

When it's around the freezing point they're doing fine, wearing cozy wool legwarmers under their long pants. I checked everyone's feet yesterday, they're warm to the touch, definitely leathery on the soles and a little dry, so I rubbed lotion into each one's feet, they love the massage especially around the toes. Fortunately no sign of frostbite, no peeling skin and as lively and sensitive as ever. So they definitely know what's good for them and don't take foolish risks.

As we went to town today after lunch my children wore coats, scarves, pants and legwarmers with bare feet while I was barefoot in my cozy warm Ugg boots ... everyone happy and fine, I'm impressed how they're unfazed by temperatures like this, toes turning lively pink after a few minutes outside, their naked little soles not bothered by salt and grit on the icy road.

All the best to the parents and kids out there, may your feet be happy!
