Haha yes it was quite funny indeed. This is an anecdote that came back to me while I was writing this message.

My son rarely wears socks. As soon as he wears them he prefers to take them off.
However, he has the dirtiest feet most often.
They're so used to it since they were little that they don't care. The most important thing is that they feel comfortable.
Of course, if one day they prefer to wear shoes that will be their choice but for the moment they are fine that way.

In South Africa children are allowed to go to school if they wish.
So my children go barefoot.
At the end of the day, their feet are often dirty depending on the weather.

Sometimes the dirt is stubborn even after a shower.
The blackness persists particularly on the heels, arches and below the toes.
Generally when they play sports and the weather is hot their feet become sweaty and collect more dust on the ground.

As I said before, dirt doesn't bother me unless it's too excessive.
