Sounds like spring is arriving in your part of the world. I expect we'll see another cold spell here in UK before it really starts to warm up.

It's a nice day here though. The sun is shining and its 11C. We went for a woodland walk this morning and there's lots of deep wet mud around which my son enjoyed jumping through (something I doubt he'd be able to do as easily if he wasn't barefoot).

Anita, I'm like you I never forced my children to be barefoot but just made them aware that going outside barefoot is an option if they wanted to. The past year had been fabulous and I've seen my children's feet get tougher and tougher and more resilient to difficult textures and the cold.
