Difficult question to answer really and I don't actually think age of the parents makes too much difference. It all comes down to the parents own upbringing and beliefs I would say.

All I can say is I'm in my forties and had a pro barefoot upbringing and raising my own son and daughter to be barefoot whenever they want to be which just so happens to be all the time!
