Don’t you sort of miss the draw of the early days of the internet and message board prose? Imagine if there would have been a worldwide pandemic back then? It may have caught on as a more cerebral movement.
It’s very thought-provoking to speculate on what eats away at an artist but what never gets defined. After years of therapy, I know what eats away at my inner self. There’s no definitive final result, though, so maybe that’s what keeps life interesting.
Isn’t that why celebrity or musician culture is such a phenomenon? Because regular folks may not always wanna know their innermost honest true self, but live vicariously through the experiences and stories or songs that artists share about themselves? Or are they really sharing about themselves and just make up a lot of stuff. Artistic license and all that.
These are strange times. But thought-provoking ones.
Are Chris Isaak masks being planned on the merch site? If so, what do you think he’d draw as it’s design?
