In reply to: Ohio is not as diverse as our Colleges & big cities are. 32/88 counties are Appalachian. 's message, "So what's the right 'representation' to get the results you wanted? How many more 'non-minorities' were needed? Yet I'm confused, as in the same breathe you are championing representation, you disparage the judges' age and sex.

There were two judges who were involved in the MAO- one who was 3RU in a local 18 years ago and the other went to Miss Ohio a couple of times around 2007. These girls were in preschool when these judges were 'so involved' with the MAO.

This is Volunteer's 3rd pageant. MAO has had a 100 years. Of course Veronica is going to tap into her network from the MAO, who know how to judge a pageant. You want experienced judges on a panel. One was the head of Enrollment for Bluffton College. One was from the area and I believe one was a novice. When Veronica announced the panel, I was totally impressed. This was a very solid panel of serious, accomplished women who've made their careers.
