Subject: A lot to unpack here.
#1. Attempting to shame Oliveri and the Board over the representation in Ohio won't work-- a black girl hasn't won in 19 years under them! Heather won when Steven was forced out of the ED position that year and didn't get his judge's chair, and people put it together. The black girls left, realizing they can't win. You can't send a black girl if none are competing.
#2. Black contestants in the last 10ys: Bry Atchinson '15 who didn't get the memo & tried again in '17; Diamond Coleman & Desi Hunt in '22 as virtual contestants; '23 Stephanie Finoti as a buy-in.
#3. Ohio River isn't a sweeps title, Olivia Fossen outright won a local. Robin is putting big pressure on the states to boost numbers, so it's not uncommon for locals to be pressured into adding another title.
