I didn’t get to watch this year, so please shed some light! I didn’t think Emily would win but I was very surprised she did not place after being 1RU last year. I’m sure that was a tough blow. Thoughts?

[> Subject: Honestly have no idea how she didn’t secure a T10 spot! I was leaning towards Stephanie as the winner prior to the week, but completely had Emily in T10 with a likely T5 finish. Not sure how Bryn squeezed in over Emily. No one was in interview, but on stage activity (specifically talent(, made me scratch my head?? I’m sorry for Emily, and can’t imagine that blow…

[> [> Subject: Agreed, no offense to Bryn or Autumn, but given the level of competition this year, neither should have been in Top 10 over Emily. This one is definitely a head scratcher.

[> [> [> Subject: Autumn has found her voice and it shows in interview. She had a rough childhood and those who do typically spend their 20s sorting themselves out. That she's a college grad and living a productive life considering her upbringing is a real success story.

[> Subject: I believe her being fru got in her head. She saw Madison win after being fru and I think she forgot about all the years that the fru wasn’t crowned the next year. She got kind of cocky and mean to the other contestants and volunteers this year. I wonder how many of these girls will go over or back to Volunteer now that it’s under a new director.

[> [> [> Subject: Who the director is, is everything. The first Volunteer director was a rather recent MAO contestant and former Outstanding Teen who went to the very conservative, Trump supporting, Hillsdale College. The current Vol director is a former Miss Ohio from the early 90s, who's run an MAO local. Her daughter was part of the group that left the MAO after Lora's win.
