It's plug and play with a full 68040 CPU.

Check orientation (3 out of 4 ways are wrong) - look for the missing corner pin and the 'non-hole' in the socket.

Align carefully, apply a little pressure, check alignment, then apply pressure across whole top surface of CPU, to keep it horizontal as it slips into the socket. Some force is needed, but make sure all the pins are aligned before applying it!
