Highlights: When I turn on the computer, the a/b receives power because the green light on the front of the CC has always lit up. When the case is put back on, the fan works as it would normally. The power key starts the CC (without video) and one can hear the hard disk spinning and OS 7.1 booting up as usual. The power key and the return key can shut off the CC as it would usually. When the computer starts up ( if I undo the power cord to the hard disk) then the only noise you would hear is the humming sound (similar to older fluorescent lights) and another noise coming from the left side (not the same side where the 2 video adjustments are made) The a/b card must be properly connected or there would be no power??
I noticed that the female card connector can be moved just a millemetre or 2 to the left or right and I tried to reconnect the a/b and test in each postion with the no video response.
I've made sure that all wires (4 sets) are connected

I'm lost what is the next step. Is it now time to return to the staus quo?
