I think the TAM was about the closest thing to a flat panel Color Classic.

I think a G4 board in a minitower roughly the size of a CC or an original Macintosh (SE, Classic) form factor, with 3 or 4 PCI slots and a little 10" 800x600 flat screen (with its own slow 2D video card for palettes or text consoles) on the front and an independent killer gForce3 output for the monstrously huge monitors we all have lying about.

That's pretty much what I've seen people use their PCCs for here on the board. Every picture I've seen has the PCC next to a giant monitor. That space could be very useful.

If you were running a server for instance, where the only video output you want is text or simple graphs, but needed expandability, the space cleared up in the case by the LCD screen would be a boon.

Or you could just put an empty CC case around a new iMac with the monitor arm sticking out the old hole. :)

Al

P.S. You're right. We'll never see it from Apple, but stay tuned to Stuart and Alex's Taco...
