I agree with Chris about the CC's form factor. It's still very good, and has serious retro appeal, but it's been outclassed by developments in the industry.

I had similar thoughts about the new iMac's innards being used in a CC. However, my practical side isn't too keen on the idea. The iMac, whatever you might think about the looks, is extremely powerful and can ingeniously adapt to just about any work environment. It's innards would be more useful remaining in the iMac's form factor.

For this same reason (although the idea is very interesting) I've limited my persuits of Cube/CC mods, because in many ways you are downgrading hardware already cooler and more sophisticated than the CC.

On the other hand, there are bound to be stray iMac motherboards on eBay. What would be the harm in giving them a home? :)
