Go back and re-read the instructions, specifically Step 3: Sense Wire Modification. Information about what to do with J78 is in there. I oughta know; I wrote it myself :)

The interested reader will note that putting this bridge on J78 in the 13"/High-Res mod simply connects pin 20 to ground, changing the state of the sense line S0 (that's sense zero) so that the logic board thinks it's driving a 13" RGB display. There is no need to do this with the VGA modification since the S0 line is required to be connected to S1 (pin 24).
