Subject: 3.3V regulators

Digusted with the $7-something price of the Linear Tech regulator, I did a bit of searching and found what appears to be an equivalent one at National Semiconductor, available from Digi-Key for under $2.

I believe it was also a 1585 series but can't remember for sure. (I can post a complete part number here when I get home from work.)

Anyone have any comments? Both are the three-pin package, both regulate 5V to 3.3V, and both have a 4.6A capacity (or thereabouts; I think the National is 5A).

When my 6400 board comes in, I'll be using the National regulator first. If that doesn't work, I can always switch to a Linear Tech one.
