When I began spanking my daughter, I was pretty neutral when it came to how exactly I spank. Since this whole thing is for her benefit, I didn’t really have any preferences when it comes to implements and positions.

But after giving her quite a few spankings, I’ve come to appreciate the classic OTK hand spanking the best. The position feels very personal. I like that feeling of closeness. It’s also very comfortable since I’m just sitting down.

I can rest my left hand on her back for reassurance while my right hand is slapping her butt. And I can easily transition from spanking to rubbing and vice-versa. And if I need to take a break because my daughter has a high pain tolerance when it comes to this, her butt provides a convenient cushion for me to rest my hand on. And after the spanking is over, she can just lay there and rest for as long as she wants while I rub her butt.

My hand is also easier to control and more versatile than any implement I’ve used. I can use a cupped hand, or straighten it like a paddle, or use a swiping technique, or even slap and squeeze at the same time.

Unfortunately during a long spanking, my hand does start to hurt. Probably not as much as her butt hurts, but she’s the masochist, not me. That’s really the only problem I have with it. Unfortunately, my daughter prefers more intense spankings. When she is in the mood for a lighter spanking though, that’s what I prefer.
