I have thought about your question many times over the years. I never approached mom on the subject, but perhaps she thought the threat alone might steer me to avoid trouble.

As an adult I have had thoughts of being spanked bare by a maternal figure, but not my mom. A couple of "mom" actresses and a childhood neighbor lady are frequently in my thoughts. The split second spanking in Midnight Cowboy of the boy by his Aunt is a favorite as well as the opening to Exit to Eden.
