I had a friend in a similar situation growing up. He stopped wetting the bed at around 7 or 8, but his mom still made him wear diapers (day and night) even after that just in case he had an accident. He was too embarassed to tell me when I first became friends with him (around 13 I think), but I found out pretty quickly when his mom brought us both to the beach. Like your neighbour, he wasn't allowed to wear any normal underwear growing up, only diapers. We went on a school trip a few years later and some of the girls found out he wore diapers, so after that everyone at school knew and he was bullied a lot (your neighbour must have much nicer friends!).

I didn't stay in touch with him much after school, but I heard from a mutual friend that even after he moved out, he had to lie to his mom and say he was wearing diapers at college. And when he came home for the holidays he had to wear them again full time. I always felt a little sorry for him, but it sounds like your neighbour is having a much happier experience. I know that I would have hated being diapered as a teenager, let alone kept in diapers 24/7 like your neighbour!
