Subject: Should I diaper my 7 year old foster son for continued pants pooping

Hi everyone my husband and I adopted a 7 year old boy ( Michael) 5 months ago. He was abused by his biological parents for several years before he was taken away by cps. He has worn diapers all his life but we were assured he has been potty trained for two years now. He has pooped in his pants many times in the 5 months since we adopted him. We have paddled his bottom every single time he has done this. He does still wear goodnights to bed because he still wets the bed every night. My husband told him that if he wants to poop his pants like a baby does he will find himself in pampers like baby’s wear. He got bottom paddled last night by me after he filled his pants while we were out to dinner. My husband wants me to put him back in pampers full time until this behavior stops. I have yet to buy him pampers and my husband is telling me if I don’t buy them by the end of the weekend he is going to take Michael to the store with him and make Michael carry a case of pampers to the cashier to embarrass him and he will be spanked upon returning home and put in pampers immediately after he gets paddled. My husband keeps telling me that if he wants to poop his pants like a baby then he will be treated like a baby! We are at our wits end! What would you do in this frustrating situation? I would love to hear your advice and opinions please!
