Thanks for the reply, Dr Perry. I agree with you about restrictions from free movement, especially of the hands, are fundamental part of diaper training and DD. I know you said you would welcome any child brought up in diapers into your office. I don't know if you're a pediatrician or not, though I imagined you were. But even if not, in the position of receiving patients during office hours, would it be your personal preference to have the children's hands restrained so that if and when it's necessary and at your discretion you can remove them yourself or just leave them restrained? And also, in the same scenario, I've noticed that when you can hear a child wail and scream, like for instance when they're receiving a shot, It's upsetting to other patients. How would you feel about a hypothetical situation where the office had a variety of colorful and festive looking balls with straps that could be affixed in the child's mouth during most of the examination or procedure, after examining the mouth and tonsils and such, obviously. Is that impractical?
