If I understand correctly, then you raised your children with DD and the same is now happening with your grandchildren?
Yes, DD only on weekends is a good alternative if you can't keep it up during the week.
No matter how and how long you practice DD, I would always be careful with #2 in your child's diaper. I wouldn't wait longer than an hour for a change. But of course this is just a recommendation and everyone has to find their own way here.
With us, plugs control the anal track and #2 in the diaper is an increased, rare punishment on top.
