There are also other ways to regress them a bit without going too far too soon.

If you have to spank during the day.
You can give them a bath and early bed time after dinner as well.
Tell you need to be there to check the damage on their bum, and help to speed things up and make sure they go to bed without delay.

Baby oil massages can also be used in a comforting way before bed for bonding.
Or in a wicked way. Spankings hurt way more if oil is applied before.
