Thank you all so much for all the advice, I'm taking it all on board and trying to work with it.

I had them both in the tub together, the 10 year old kept covering himself with his hands. The 7 year old really didn't care, he found it fun having a playmate.

The 10 year old has bruises on his bottom, should I be concerned about this, he has said they hurt when he sits, but I'm not sure if he's exaggerating for sympathy? The 7 year old has only had 1 good spanking, he seems to be smart enough to stay in line.

I was going to let the 10 year old text his moma but I think it might be too soon. He still has a lot of anger on display.
I'm going to start adding a massage to their bedtime routine.
And I might take the suggestion uptread and buy them reins. But getting them on each day will be a battle.
